North Pender Island Local Trust Area is located 15km northeast of the Swartz Bay ferry terminal and has a 2011 census population of 2,035. The 5228 ha area includes the islands east of the Saanich Peninsula, such as Sidney and James Islands, which are collectively designated as the North Pender Associated Islands. September 6 & 22 | NP LTC Waste Transfer Bylaws for further consideration
On September 6th the LTC will hold a community information meeting (CIM) within its regular business meeting to further consider proposed waste management bylaws No. 214 & 215. The CIM is scheduled to start at 3:00 P.M. Following the September 6th meeting, a public hearing will be held on September 22nd. Local trust committees set their priorities and manage their community planning projects using a work program. Top priority projects on the LTC's work program have resources in place, or resources which will be soon available.
