July 30, 2018 | LTC Meeting Highlights

The LTC approved two variances: MA-DVP-2018.2 (McCance) for accessory building siting and MA-DVP-2018.3 (Brown) for accessory building height. The LTC requested further information on proposed Bylaw No. 173 to amend Notice Enforcement Bylaw No. 156. Advisory Planning Commission comments on the Commercial Land Use Review where discussed.

May 28, 2018 | LTC Meeting Rescheduled

The Local Trust Committee (LTC) has rescheduled its May 28th meeting to June 11th and has cancelled the regularly scheduled June 25th meeting.  For an updated printable LTC schedule, click here.

April 30, 2018 | LTC Meeting Cancelled

The local trust committee has cancelled its April 30th meeting. 

March 26, 2018 | LTC Business Meeting and Public Hearings

Join the LTC at its March 26 business meeting for a Public Hearing on proposed bylaw No. 171 - OCP Amendment to create a Riparian Area Development Permit Area. There will also be a Public Hearing on proposed bylaw No. 172 - Rezoning for Commercial Uses. 

March 5, 2018 | Mayne Island LTC Special Meeting

A Notice of Special Meeting of the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee, to be held at 12:45 PM, on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Mary Winspear Centre, 2243 Beacon Ave W, Sidney, BC, for the purpose of discussing the Commercial Land Use Review staff report and recommendations. 

February 26, 2018 | Business Meeting Highlights

Consideration was given to application MA-DVP-2018.1 (Lazar), which sought allowance for an increase in the height of an accessory building. The application was referred to the APC for consideration. Consideration was also given to application MA-SUB-2017.1 (Percy) for frontage relief, which was approved, as well as to a bylaw referral from the North Pender Island LTC (interests unaffected). There was also discussion around waste collection and hunting regulations related to fallow deer. It was also noted that a Special Meeting is scheduled for March 5th at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney to discuss possible amendments to the Commercial Land Use policies and regulations.

January 29, 2018 | Business Meeting Highlights

First Reading was given to amendment bylaws No. 171 (RAR). and No. 172. (Reef Bay Holdings). Discussion around waste collection, hunting regulations and safety concerns at Montrose and Fernhill Roads took place.  A Special Meeting is scheduled for March 5th at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney to discuss possible amendments to the Commercial Land Use policies and regulations.
