Mayne

Local trust committee community planning projects are proactive initiatives that further the preserve and protect mandate. Projects can be significant and long term, such as an Official Community Plan Review, or may be relatively minor, such as an amendment to a regulation in a Land Use Bylaw.

Groundwater Sustainability Project

This project will develop information and data as part of a phased ecological approach to groundwater management on Galiano, Mayne, North Pender, South Pender, and Saturna Islands. For more information see About this Project below.

Housing Options

The purpose of this project is to conduct a review of current housing regulations, policies and related incentives on Mayne Island and provide potential options for changes that could provide more flexibility and incentives for increasing flexibility for affordable housing. The project will also consider the potential environmental footprint and impacts of these alternatives.

LUB Minor Amendments

This project is intended to provide targeted amendments to the Mayne Island Land Use Bylaw No. 146, 2008 and the Mayne Island OCP Bylaw No. 144, 2007.
